REGULAR MEETING OF MONDAY, AUGUST 14, 2023

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Linnartz called this meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
CALL OF ROLL: CITY SECRETARY
Councilmember Labowski arrived at 4:36 p.m.
Present 7 - Mayor Neal Linnartz, Councilmember Andres Campos,
Councilmember Christopher Willis, Mayor Pro Tem Harry
Bowers, Councilmember Lawrence Spradley, Councilmember
Mary Ann Labowski, and Councilmember April Ryan
INVOCATION: COUNCILMEMBER RYAN
Mayor Linnartz gave the invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE & SALUTE TO THE TEXAS FLAG
Mayor Linnartz provided the Pledge of Allegiance and the Salute to the
Texas Flag.
1. WORKSHOP
A) Discuss and consider possible action regarding the Fiscal Year 2024
Proposed Budget and Plan of Municipal Services and the proposed
2023 tax rate and announce public hearings.
Mayor Linnartz read the aforementioned item.
Robert Camareno opened this segment and introduced Jared Werner
who presented this item providing a PowerPoint. Jared introduced
Jonathan Packard with the Chamber of Commerce who provided a
PowerPoint highlighting the Convention and Tourism Fund Budget and
addressed questions from Council. Jared Werner continued and
completed his presentation.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION
In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Ch. 551, the
City Council may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the items listed on
this agenda. Any final action or vote on any executive session item will be taken in
open session.

3. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION AND TAKE ANY NECESSARY
ACTION RELATING TO THE EXECUTIVE SESSION AS DESCRIBED
