ADJOURNMENT Forward New Richmond Committee Meeting Minutes Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 12:00 PM Conference Room The Forward New Richmond Committee was called to order on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 12:00 PM, in the Council Chambers, with the following members present: PRESENT: Mike Montello, Rob Kreibich, Karl Skoglund, Summer Seidenkranz, and Carrie Borgstrom ABSENT: Susan Lockwood, Cathy Longtin, Heather McAbee, and Ryan Shervey OTHERS Noah Wiedenfeld, Beth Thompson PRESENT: CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL ADOPTION OF AGENDA Mike Montello made a motion to adopt the agenda. Summer Seidenkranz seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. CONSENT AGENDA Mike Montello made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda. Karl Skoglund seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. CONTINUING BUSINESS STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS Noah Wiedenfeld continued the discussion regarding Strategic Planning for the City of New Richmond - in particular Economic Development. From our last meeting, FNR members ranked their top five goals and they are as follows: • Become a Destination Location for Businesses • Help Existing Businesses Prosper and Grow in New Richmond • Improve the Vibrancy of the Historic Downtown • Offer a Diverse Supply of Housing Options for all Ages and Incomes • Increase Development along the STH 64 Corridor Forward New Richmond Committee Meeting February 15, 2023 FNR discussed each of these goals and broke then down into objectives, strategies, and tactics. Staff will compile all the data from these strategic planning meetings and Beth will send an email to members with the synopsis. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE UPDATES Rob Kreibich stated the Chamber is now at 503 members. Other items discussed were: • Restarting programing for Chamber members –next week Digital Journey seminar • Women’s expo – May 2nd • The Chamber annual dinner very successful with 300 plus attendees ST CROIX EDC UPDATES Bill Rubin stated the Annual St. Croix EDC Event will be held with week on February 16th at Ready Randys. Bill gave other updates regarding new businesses throughout St. Croix County. COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS Beth stated she will be sending out a notice to FNR members for a possible special meeting. This meeting will be held before the next regular City Council meeting and will most likely replace the normally scheduled March FNR meeting.
