ADJOURNMENT  Police and Fire Commission Meeting Minutes Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 4:45 PM Council Chambers The Police and Fire Commission of the City of New Richmond was called to order on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 4:45 PM, in the Council Chambers, with the following members present: PRESENT: Kirk Lindell, Andrea Kier, Michael Hedges, Jorden Aufderhar ABSENT: Jon Hailey OTHERS PRESENT: CALL TO ORDER Kirk Lindell called the meeting to order at 4:45 p.m. ROLL CALL Andrea Kier arrived at 4:52 p.m. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Jorden Aufderhar made a motion to adopt the Agenda. Michael Hedges seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES MINUTES FROM DATE AUGUST 18TH, 2022 Jorden Aufderhar made a motion to approve the Minutes from August 18th, 2022. Michael Hedges seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. COMMUNICATION AND MISCELLANEOUS Nothing presented. POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFICER APPOINTMENT FIRE DEPARTMENT PROBATIONARY FIREFIGHTER HIRING Jorden Aufderhar made a motion to go into Closed Session. Michael Hedges seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. Roll Call vote carried unanimously. Went into Closed Session at 4:50. OPEN SESSION - ACTION ON CLOSED SESSION AGENDA Andrea Kier made a motion to come out of Closed Session. Jorden Aufderhar seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. Roll Call vote carried unanimously. Came into Open Session at 5:03 p.m. Jorden Aufderhar made a motion to approve the Police Officer hiring with the three contingencies laid out by Chief Yehlik. Michael Hedges seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. Jorden Aufderhar made a motion to approve the Fire Department Probationary Firefighter hiring. Andrea Kier seconded the motion. Carried unanimously.
