CLOSED SESSION PER STATE STATUTE 19.85 (1)(C) The Commission may entertain motion and adjourn into closed session pursuant to Sections 19.85 (b) and (g) Wis. Stats. to consider dismissal or discipline of a public employee or the investigation of charges against such person and to confer with legal counsel regarding the same. Initial review of charges filed by a citizen with the PFC. If the Commission proceeds in closed session it may, pursuant to Sec 19.85(2) Wis. Stats. reconvene into open session and take action or announce its action(s) in closed session and to address any other items on the agenda. 6. ADJOURNMENT Police and Fire Commission Meeting Minutes Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 4:30 PM Council Chambers The Police and Fire Commission of the City of New Richmond was called to order on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 4:30 PM, in the Council Chambers, with the following members present: PRESENT: Kirk Lindell, Jon Hailey, Andrea Kier ABSENT: Michael Hedges, Jorden Aufderhar OTHERS Sarah Reese, Noah Wiedenfeld PRESENT: CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by President Hailey at 4:30 PM ROLL CALL ADOPTION OF AGENDA Kirk Lindell made a motion to adopt the Agenda. Andrea Kier seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES MINUTES FROM DATE OCTOBER 4, 2022 Kirk Lindell made a motion to approve the Minutes from October 4, 2022. Andrea Kier seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. COMMUNICATION AND MISCELLANEOUS Nothing presented. CLOSED SESSION PER STATE STATUTE 19.85 (1)(C) The commission will convene into Close Session Authorized under Section 19.85(1)(c), (f), and (g) Wisconsin Statutes, to consider employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation Police and Fire Commission Meeting October 19, 2022 data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. FIRE DEPARTMENT PROBATIONARY FIREFIGHTER HIRING Kirk Lindell made a motion to go into Closed Session. Andrea Kier seconded the motion. Roll Call vote carried unanimously. Went into Closed Session at 4:31. OPEN SESSION - ACTION ON CLOSED SESSION AGENDA Andrea Kier made a motion to come out of Closed Session. Kirk Lindell seconded the motion. Roll Call vote carried unanimously. Came into Open Session at 4:35. Kirk Lindell made a motion to approve the hiring of the four Probationary Firefighters presented in Closed Session. Andrea Kier seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. ADJOURNMENT Kirk Lindell made a motion to Adjourn the meeting. Andrea Kier seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 4:36.
