The New Richmond Board of Police and Fire Commissioners will, pursuant to Wis. Stat. Section
62.13(5)(d) and the New Richmond Board of Police and Fire Commissioners Rules of Procedures,
convene the hearing in the above-entitled to set date for the evidentiary hearing and consider other
matters of scheduling.

5.2. Review of proposed scheduling
5.3. Set date for Hearing

The Police and Fire Commission of the City of New Richmond was called to order on Tuesday, April
25, 2023, at 6:00 PM, in the Council Chambers, with the following members present:
PRESENT: Kirk Lindell, Jon Hailey, Jorden Aufderhar
ABSENT: Andrea Kier, Michael Hedges
OTHERS Noah Weidenfeld, Sarah Reese, Nick Vivian, Craig Yehlik, Jim Kalny (virtual),
PRESENT: Justin Andrews (virtual)
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by President Hailey at 6:15 PM.
ROLL CALL
ADOPTION OF AGENDA
Kirk Lindell made a motion to adopt the Agenda. Jorden Aufderhar seconded the motion. Carried
unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MINUTES FROM DATE FEBRUARY 16, 2023
Kirk Lindell made a motion to approve the Minutes from date February 16, 2023. Jorden Aufderhar
seconded the motion. Carried unanimously.
COMMUNICATION AND MISCELLANEOUS
UPDATE ON CHARGES BY NOAH WIEDENFELD AGAINST ROBIN HAFFNER
Review of the Charges
Review of Discovery progress and issues
Consideration of Scheduling
Discussion regarding the receipt of the City's amended and final Charging Summary, received by
the Commission's Secretary on April 21, 2023.
Police and Fire Commission Meeting April 25, 2023
Kirk Lindell made a motion to dismiss the Original Charges and cancel the previously scheduled
hearing, to have the Charging Summary personally served to Robin Haffner not less than 10 days nor
more than 30 days before May 16, 2023, to authorize and direct the President and Commission
Counsel to meet with the parties and schedule discovery and motion dates, and to meet on May 16,
2023 at 6:00 p.m. to set a date for the hearing. Jorden Aufderhar seconded the motion. Carried
unanimously.
Counsel was directed to issue an order stating the foregoing.
CLOSED SESSION PER WIS STAT SECTION 19.85(1)(C) AND (G)
The commission may convene into Closed Session under Wis. Stat. Section 19.85(1) (g), to confer with legal
counsel regarding litigation it is involved in. Procedural or Substantive questions regarding the hearing on the
Charges by Noah Wiedenfeld against Robin Hafner.
Closed Session per State Statute 19.85(1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or
performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body had jurisdiction or
exercises responsibility.

b. Fire Department Probationary Firefighter
Kirk Lindell made a motion to go into Closed Session to discuss the Probationary Officer
and Firefighter. Jorden Aufderhar seconded the motion. Carried unanimously.
OPEN SESSION - ACTION ON OPEN AND/OR CLOSED SESSION AGENDA
Kirk Lindell made a motion to go into Open Session. Jorden Aufderhar seconded the motion. Roll call
vote carried unanimously.
Kirk Lindell made a motion to proceed with the recommendations of items 7.2A and 7.2B on the
Agenda. Jorden Aufderhar seconded the motion. Carried unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
Kirk Lindell made a motion to Adjourn. Jorden Aufderhar seconded the motion. Carried unanimously.
