CALL TO ORDER 2. ROLL CALL 3. ADOPTION OF AGENDA 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 4.1. Minutes from: Police and Fire Commission - 11 Dec 2023 3-4 5. HEARING 5.1. HEARING: _____________________________________________________________________ In the matter of the Charges Filed Against Firefighter Robin Haffner Charged Party By City of New Richmond City Administrator Noah Wiedenfeld Charging Party ______________________________________________________________________ The New Richmond Board of Police and Fire Commissioners will convene the evidentiary hearing in the above-entitled matter pursuant to Wis. Stat. Section 62.13(5)., and the New Richmond Board of Police and Fire Commissioners Rules of Procedures 6. CLOSED SESSION PER STATE STATUTE 19.85 (1)(A) AND (G) 6.1. Please take notice the Police and Fire Commission will convene in closed session for the purpose of deliberating and consulting with legal counsel with regard to the above matter. During this closed session the Police and Fire Commission shall also consider the request of the court to clarify the Commission’s intent in regard to the appeal and reconsideration of St. Croix County Circuit Court Case Case No.: 2022-CV-257, Jonathan Haffner v New Richmond Police and Fire Commission. This closed session is pursuant to Wis. Stats. Section 19.85(1)(g) to confer with legal counsel on a matter in which it is involved. The Police and Fire Commission’s legal counsel and a majority of the Police and Fire Commission may participate virtually/remotely. This deliberation is continued from 27 Nov 2023, 29 Nov 2023, and 6 Dec 2023 and 11 December 2023. 6.2. The Commission shall reconvene in Open Session to close the record of the evidentiary hearing and render a written decision on the matter. By the New Richmond Police and Fire Commission 7. Police and Fire Commission Meeting Minutes Monday, December 11, 2023 at 6:00 PM Conference Room The Police and Fire Commission of the City of New Richmond was called to order on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 6:00 PM, in the Conference Room, with the following members present: PRESENT: Kirk Lindell, Jon Hailey, Andrea Guinn, Michael Hedges ABSENT: OTHERS James Kalny, the Police and Fire Commission’s legal counsel (virtual), Michelle PRESENT: Scanlan (Open Session only) CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL ADOPTION OF AGENDA Andrea Guinn made a motion to adopt the Agenda. Kirk Lindell seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES MINUTES FROM: 06 DEC 2023 Andrea Guinn made a motion approve Minutes from 06 Dec 2023. Kirk Lindell seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. Kirk Lindell made a motion to enter into Closed Session. Andrea Guinn seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. CLOSED SESSION PER STATE STATUTE 19.85 (1)(A) AND (G) IN THE MATTER OF THE CHARGES FILED AGAINST FIREFIGHTER ROBIN HAFFNER BY CITY ADMINISTRATOR NOAH WIEDENFELD. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THE POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION WILL CONVENE IN CLOSED SESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF DELIBERATING AND CONSULTING WITH LEGAL COUNSEL WITH REGARD TO THE ABOVE MATTER. THE POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION WILL BE IN CLOSED SESSION FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE MEETING, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ROLL CALL AND ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA.
