ADJOURNMENT  Police and Fire Commission Meeting Minutes Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM Council Chambers The Police and Fire Commission of the City of New Richmond was called to order on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM, in the Council Chambers, with the following members present: PRESENT: Kirk Lindell, Shawn Demulling, Jon Hailey ABSENT: Andrea Guinn, Michael Hedges OTHERS Sarah Reese PRESENT: CALL TO ORDER Jon Hailey, Commission Chair called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm ROLL CALL ADOPTION OF AGENDA Kirk Lindell made a motion to adopt the Agenda Shawn Demulling seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Shawn Demulling made a motion to approve the Minutes from April 22, 2024 Kirk Lindell seconded the motion. Carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS Kirk Lindell made a motion to go into Closed Session at 2:01 pm Shawn Demulling seconded the motion. 3-0 passed unanimously. CLOSED SESSION PER STATE STATUTE 19.85 (1)(C) CLOSED SESSION PER STATE STATUTE 19.85(1)(C) CONSIDERING EMPLOYMENT, PROMOTION, COMPENSATION, OR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION DATA OF ANY PUBLIC EMPLOYEE OVER WHICH THE GOVERNMENTAL BODY HAD JURISDICTION OR EXERCISES RESPONSIBILITY. A) PROBATIONARY FIREFIGHTER HIRING B) PROBATIONARY FIRE DEPARTMENT PAID-PER-CALL FIREFIGHTERS Kirk Lindell made a motion to go into Open Session at 2:08 pm Shawn Demulling seconded the motion. 3-0 passed unanimously.
