ROLL CALL Board Members in attendance include Seth Visser, Mike Furth, Paula Humbard, Tom Schmitz, and Community Cable Access Coordinator Steven Sherman. 2. WELCOME NEW MEMBERS Welcome new Board members Mike Furth and Tom Schmitz. Mike's term is January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027. Tom's term will run concurrently with his City Councilor term. Thank you to outgoing members Vickie Tamborino and Les Schultz for their past service to the Cable Communications Advisory Board. 3. ELECTION OF OFFICERS Motion by Tom Schmitz, second by Mike Furth, nominating Board Member Seth Visser as Chair, Board Member Mike Furth as Vice Chair and Board Member Paula Humbard as Secretary for 2025. Motion passed. 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Tom Schmitz, second by Paula Humbard to approve Minutes from the Cable Communications Advisory Board meeting held on June 5, 2024. Motion passed. 5. COMMUNITY CABLE ACCESS COORDINATOR ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT 5.1 NUCAT Activities Community Cable Access Coordinator Steven Sherman presented a report summarizing studio productions, recordings in Council Chambers, community recordings, and submitted programs. Motion by Mike Furth, second by Tom Schmitz to receive report on NUCAT activities for the time period June 2024 – December 2024. Motion passed. 5.2 NUCAT Programming Update Community Cable Access Coordinator Steven Sherman presented a report summarizing various programs and events. Motion by Tom Schmitz, second by Mike Furth to receive the programming update from June 2024 through December 2024. Motion passed. 6. OLD BUSINESS Brown County Board Recording Space Community Cable Access Coordinator Steven Sherman reached out to the Brown County Administrator regarding possible upgrades to improve recording space for Brown County Board. To date, no response has been received. Motion by Tom Schmitz, second by Paula Humbard to receive report on meeting with NUCAT staff and Brown County Administrator. Motion passed. 7. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS Tom Schmitz expressed appreciation for being appointed to the Board and appreciate all that NUCAT offers to the community. 8. ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned.
