SCHEDULED COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF MARCH 21, 2022. Meeting was called to order by Pro Temp Allen Collins at 7:00pm. Meeting held at Newcomerstown Senior Citizen Center. PUBLIC SAFETY & PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAIRPERSON MICHAEL WISE: Nothing to report. LEGISLATION & PERSONNEL- CHAIRPERSON SUSAN LITTLE: Government signed conceal and carry bill. DEPARMENT REPORTS: STREET/CEMETERY- TRAVIS: Absent CEMETERY DEPARTMENT – SCOTT: April 11th is clean up week at cemetery. POLICE DEPARTMENT- CHIEF HOLLAND: Absent FISCAL OFFICER- LISA STITELER: Community cleanup is the first weekend in May. Hire John Resh as Park/Pool Manager starting April 1st to September 30th. Jan brought forward the motion, Susan seconded it. WATER/WASTE-WATER – JARED MCFARLAND: Absent EMERGENCY SERVICES: NERS- N/A TRI COUNTY- Met and discussed purchasing two new ambulances. PARK/POOL: N/A LEGAL COUNSEL- BOB STEPHENSON: Nothing to report MAYOR: Absent OLD BUSINESS: Discuss the 5-year Capital Improvement Plan NEW BUSINESS: Resolution 07-2022 to participate in the ODOT Road Salt Contracts awarded in 2022. David brought forward the motion, Susan seconded it. Tabled until the many questions are answered. Mayor will get them to get survey done. Approve Bob Shepherd’s request to go to a part time position in the Street Department.
