We are planning a join training with Arrowhead Fire to go over aerial ladder operations EMERGENCY SERVICES: TRI COUNTY- Nothing to report MAYOR: There was a request for chickens in town, it will be discussed. R.O.W Annual contract is $3,000. Mayor met with a housing developer last week and attended a conference with Japanese companies. Channel 5 was here last week to talk about Newcomerstown. Besst Cleaners building with go down this week if all goes according to plan. NEW BUSINESS: Review a grant application from Newcomerstown NOW, they requested $5k. ARTSNCT requested $3k through the grant program. Motion to approve both requests made by Susan and seconded by Allen. Michael abstained. Motion to approve resolution made by Michael and seconded by Allen. Motion made by Allen and seconded by David. ROLL CALL: Susan Little: Y Jan McCune: Y David Shepherd: Y Allen Collins: Y Michael Wise: Y Jay Lambes: Y MOTION PASSED 27-25 2026 PERMANENT ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE AND ORDINANCE TO MAKE PERMANENT APPROPRIATIONS FOR CURRENT EXPENSES AND EXPENDITURES OF THE VILLAGE OF NEWCOMERSTOWN STATE OF OHIO DURING FISCAL YEAR ENDING IN DECEMBER 31, 2026 3rd reading and approval. One adjustment was made, the final budget is $7,346,744.
