Guidugli Jr. at 5:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose room of the Newport Municipal Building at 998 Monmouth Street. In Attendance: lC Commissioner Radwanski, Commissioner Smith-Morrow, Commissioner Rechtin, Vice Mayor Fennell, Mayor Guidugli Jr., City Manager Thomas Fromme, City Attorney Dan Braun, Capitan Paul Kunkel, and City Clerk Tiffany Myers. New Business: ca FIRST READING OF COMMISSIONERS ORDINANCE NO. O-2023-006 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT, KENTUCKY AMENDING ORDINANCE O-2022-005 BY AMENDING THE ADOPTED BUDGET OF ffi THE CITY OF NEWPORT FOR THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2022 TO JUNE 30, 2023. O A motion by Commissioner Radwanski, seconded by Vice Mayor Fennell, to approve Ordinance O-2023-006 as read. Comments: An City Manager Thomas Fromme said the city had taken steps to increase the Fund Balance. The auditor recommends that we have at least six months of reserves, we are now at five months. A second amendment to the budget was for unforeseen expenses. (See attached Amended Budget Projections). O-2023-007 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT, KENTUCKY, ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2023, TO JUNE 30, 2024, INCLUDING AN ESTIMATE OF REVENUES AND RESOURCES AND MAKING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. Comments: City Manager Thomas Fromme gave a brief presentation on the proposed FY 2023-2024 budget. (See attached for Budget Presentation).
