VILLAGE OF NICHOLS -- Board Meeting February 8, 2022 Call to Order: by President Terry Scheller at 6:30 p.m., with Trustees Jerry Krull, Brent Gerdts, and Tom Daniels present. Trustee Kathy Krull was absent. Also present: Roger Ort and Linda Hoes. Agenda: Motion by Terry/Brent to approve the agenda, carried. Outagamie Cty. Police Report: no report Minutes: Motion by Tom/Jerry to approve the January 11, 2022 Caucus and Regular Meeting minutes, carried. Treasurer’s Report: Motion by Terry/Brent to approve, carried. Bills to Approve: Motion by Brent/Jerry to approve the bills on Village checks #18491–18515 and four electronic withdrawals and Water Utility checks #2590-#2593, carried. Black Creek Police / Municipal Court Reports:  The Abatement at W5631 Main St has concluded. Water & Sewer Report (Roger):  Proficiency testing is completed.  Garbage Bins: Purchased 10 bins from Harter’s at $20 each.  Trees: One of the two trees near the south side of the ballfield has been cut down.  WWTP Scale: The annual certification is complete. A new scale will need to be purchased by next year. Unfinished Business:  USDA Grant: Will obtain quotes for a generator and need one more for the copier.  ARPA: As of April 1st funds can be used for roads. A report needs to be filed on the intended use of funds by April 30th.  Security Cameras: Tabled.  Comprehensive Plan: Tabled. New Business:  March 5, 2022 Outhouse Races: Motion by Terry/Brent to approve the Picnic License application by the Nichols Athletic Association, carried. Approval was given to close Depot Street from the Pine St intersection to the west end of Depot St. from sunrise to sunset.
