c. 3 Goals/Objectives
i. Helping the city perform a transportation self-inspection and transition plan. This
has to start with bus stops, access routes, communication systems and signage,
and vehicle service capabilities.
ii. Evaluating ways to help transition bus riders to the most effective transportation
solution possible. Essentially this means learning a lot about what drives municipal
transportation systems, the obstacles that exist to making them more affordable to
the city and usable by people with disabilities.
iii. Develop a realistic picture of the law, the city’s capabilities, and the citizen demand
and motivate the committee members to build a long-term, manageable plan to
move forward.
