CONSIDERATION OF ADJOURNING INTO AN EXECUTIVE SESSION AS AUTHORIZED BY OKLAHOMA STATUTES, TITLE 25, SECTION 307 (B)(3), IN ORDER TO DISCUSS THE ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF WEST ROBINSON STREET JUST EAST OF 60TH AVENUE N.W. AND THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF FRANKLIN ROAD AND 12TH AVENUE N.E.; AND AS AUTHORIZED BY OKLAHOMA STATUTES, TITLE 25, SECTION 307 (B)(4) TO DISCUSS POSSIBLE LITIGATION ASSOCIATED WITH THE UNIVERSITY NORTH PARK TAX INCREMENT FINANCE DISTRICT. INFORMATION: Pursuant to 25 O.S., Section 307(B)(1), a public body is permitted to conduct an executive session to discuss the employment, hiring, appointment, promotion, demotion, disciplining or resignation of any individual salaried public officer or employee. Pursuant to 25 O.S., Section 307(B)(4), a public body is permitted to conduct an executive session to discuss confidential communications between a public body and its attorney concerning a pending investigation, claim, or action if the public body, with the advice of its attorney, determines that disclosure will seriously impair the ability of the public body to process the claim or conduct a pending investigation, litigation, or proceeding in the public interest. Thereupon, this item is submitted for City Council’s consideration. ACTION NEEDED: 1. Motion to adjourn out of the Special Session and convene into an Executive Session in order to discuss the acquisition of real property for recreational purposes and to discuss possible litigation associated with the University North Park Tax Increment Finance District.
