CITY OF NORMAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM Public Hearing The CDBG Public Hearing of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, met for the Public Hearing Meeting on November 4, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. Notice and Agenda of the meeting were posted at the Norman Municipal Building and at www.Normanok.gov twenty-four hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. Lisa Krieg called the meeting to order at 6:01pm. Item No. 1, being: Introductions. Members: Michelle Jackson Lee Hall David John Kendel Posey Karen Canavan Michelle Statham Linn Blohm City Staff: Lisa Krieg Tara Reynolds Michelle Evans Item No. 2 being: Update on the City of Norman CDBG and HOME Programs a. Consolidated Plan b. Comprehensive Annual Performance Evaluation Report Lisa Krieg gave a presentation over these topics, which is attached. These documents can be found at https://www.normanok.gov/your-government/departments/planning-and-community- development/grant-programs. Item No. 3 being: Funding Update CDBG FYE21 - $910,621 HOME FYE21 - $412,569 CDBG CV1 - $535,688 CDBG CV3 - $737.568 ESG CV - $258,192 The CARES Act Funding is required to be programmed to “prevent, prepare for, and respond to” the coronavirus Item No. 4 being: Discussion of the Issues Facing Low and Moderate Income Households in Norman Issues that were identified were rent, utility, and mortgage assistance, transportation, housing repair, and re-training education for the workforce. Item No. 5 being: Election of at-large CDBG Policy Committee Reps The attendees were interesting in being Reps. More information will be emailed to them. Item No. 6 being: Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 6:43p.m.
