Environmental Services is up for a Keep Oklahoma Beautiful award Friday night. MINUTES 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE OCTOBER 18, 2023 MEETING Motion made to approve the minutes by Board member Smith, Seconded by Board member Rocher. Voting Yea: Board member Heins, Board member Cretsinger, Board member Nairn DISCUSSION ITEMS 3. DISCUSSION OF THE MAYORS CLIMATE PROTECTION AGREEMENT Loudenback received the rate of contamination in regards to recycling and it is 27.9 percent. Ask Bret if the contamination is due to dirty items or the wrong items being placed in the bins. It was discussed that they may want to do a study session after completion. Also, consider sending it out to the departments and advise them to take a look at their section. ACTION ITEMS 4. DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL OF UPDATED JAMES O. HARP NOMINATION FORM Motion made to approve the form by Board member Nairn, Seconded by Board member Smith. Voting Yea: Board member Heins, Board member Cretsinger, Board member Rocher 5. DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL OF PROPOSED MEETING DATES & TIMES FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2024 Move March meeting to the 13th. Voting Yea: Board member Heins, Board member Nairn, Board member Rocher 6. DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL OF UPDATED WATERS WORTH IT POSTER CONTEST HANDOUT Change the deadline to the week prior. Display them for 2 weeks total this year: one area one week and another area the second week. Stick with the same prizes that were sent out last year. Motion made to approve with the above mentioned changes by Board member Cretsinger, Seconded by Board member Rocher. Voting Yea: Board member Heins, Board member Nairn, Board member Smith MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS Loudenback is going to start planning for Spring soon and would love to get the boards ideas for workshops and things that they can do for adaptation for the residence so they are ready for natural resource changes. Bob said that they would discuss some Nature based Solutions for Urban environments or something like that. Cretsinger said something on water and water use related.
