Webster Avenue, Norman, OK 73069 Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 5:30 PM MINUTES The Environmental Control Advisory Board of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, will meet in Regular Session in the Utilities Conference Room at the Development Center, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 5:30 PM and notice of the agenda of the meeting was posted at the Norman Municipal Building at 201 West Gray, Development center at 225 N. Webster, and on the City website at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. Discussion was held about HazMatt, the art for the HHWF. The ribbon cutting event will be January 13 at 4pm. DISCUSSION ABOUT THE ALLEN FAMILY PHILANTHORPY GRANT Discussed a potential grant opportunity from Allen Family Philanthropies, focused on Natural Climate Solutions and addressing implementation barriers such as finance, governance, and social behavior ACTION ITEMS 3. DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL OF JAMES. O. HARP NOMINATION FORM. The award is open for nominations, and they are due January 31, 2026. DISCUSSION AND/OR APPROVAL OF MCPA EDUCATIONAL CONTENT FOR FEBRUARY AND MARCH 2026 Discussed additional educational content for MCPA posts for the upcoming months. The board reviewed and approved educational themes for: • February 2026: Wildlife care • March 2026: Alternative transportation Guidance was provided for social media and outreach content, emphasizing: • Responsible bird feeding and habitat protection • Native plants and delaying garden cleanup until spring • Availability of free local bus transit • Bike routes, walking incentives, and transportation emission reductions Motion made by Board member Smith, Seconded by Board member Cretsinger.
