Webster Avenue, Norman, OK 73069 Monday, April 07, 2025 at 5:30 PM MINUTES The Social and Voluntary Services Commission of the City of Norman, Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, will meet in Regular Session in Conference Room B at the Development Center, on Monday, April 07, 2025 at 5:30 PM and notice of the agenda of the meeting was posted at the Norman Municipal Building at 201 West Gray, Development Center at 225 N. Webster, and on the City website at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the meeting. DISCUSSION OF AGENCY VISITS The Commissioners discussed their visits with the agencies awarded grants for the current fiscal year. These visits are by phone, email, or in person. The general discussion was very positive, and no issues were identified with any agencies, or with the grant process. 4. REVIEW OF APPLICATION AND TIMELINE FOR '25-'26 GRANTS SOCIAL AND VOLUNTARY SERVICES COMMISSION MEETING - Monday, April 07, 2025 Page |2  The online application for the ’25-’26 awards will open on May 5, and close on May 30, 2025. These grants will be for July 1, 2025- June 30, 2026. Some minor adjustments will be made to the application – asking for backup contact email, clarifying the mission statement, including income category breakdowns, and asking for an agency summary if awarded funded. 5. PARTNERSHIP PHOTOS A series of photos were posted on the City of Norman’s social media accounts highlighting partnerships between the City and local agencies. The Commission thought this was great publicity for this funding opportunity, and want to continue raising awareness of the importance of this work. The Commission decided to ask each agency selected for an award to submit 250 words summarizing their agency’s mission and a photo or graphic to be sent to the City Council during the annual budgeting process. MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS It was decided to reschedule the final meeting of the Commission due to a conflicting Zinnia meeting. The July 7 meeting was moved to July 14.
