Approval of the minutes from the April 10, 2023 meeting. Motion to approve the minutes as submitted by Ann Way; Second by Christy Shepherd. All approve. DISCUSSION ITEMS 2. Discussion regarding applications for funding and additional information requested from applicants. The Commission would like further information from the following agencies: Aging Services: 0% of the budget is listed for fundraising efforts. Is this accurate? Among Friends: 0% of the budget is listed for fundraising efforts. Is this accurate? Is there any reason why your agency has no government grants or contracts? Assistance League: Who oversees the endowment, and is there an endowment policy? Bridges: Board members contributed $8,000 and that deserves a congratulations. CASA: How many children are served in Norman? CASP: What is the 30% other category in the budget? Do you have an endowment policy, and if so, what is it? Have you notified the IRS of a change in mission? Care A Vans: Who holds the title on the vehicle? What is your development plan for doubling your income? CSBI: 0% of the budget is listed for fundraising efforts. Is this accurate? Fostering Futures: Do luggage of love volunteers pray with recipients? Infant Crises: Any reason why there isn’t a more diverse board? (because of location.) Can you clarify whether 600 times mean visits or people? Legal Aid: Are there any board members from Norman? Little Read Wagon: The Commission recommends they diversify their board. Mission Norman: Can we get a copy of the 990? What specifically are you asking for with the 10,000 maximum? What is the rental expense listed in the profit/loss statement? Pantry Partners: What is the corporation/foundation grant? Where is the Beacon Café located? Transition House: What is the average daily attendance at the drop in center? What is the unique number of users at the drop in center in a year?
