North Kansas City Public Library Board of Trustees Board Meeting Minutes: March 20, 2023 The North Kansas City Library Board of Trustees met on March 20, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the North Kansas City Public Library Meeting Room and via Zoom. Present were: Jane Quick, Nick Dean, Catherine Van Alden, Bart German, Jolene Shaw and Hannah Ankenbauer, Doris Rogers and Lori Mangan, Director. Anthony Saper attended as City Council Representative. Sheryl Eufinger and Valerie Swearingen attended as members of the public. Jane Quick called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. Public Comments Valerie Swearingen introduced herself as the interim director of the NKC Historical Society. She thanked the Library Board for the use of the storage room on the lower level of the library and discussed the Board’s plans and upcoming meetings. A motion was made to approve the Consent Agenda and passed unanimously. (Dean/Van Alden) Lori Mangan gave the following updates on old/new business: Board Member Resignation House Bill 1159 & 1238 and Senate Bill 672 Amendment to House Bill 986 Missouri Evergreen User Conference General updates A motion was made to adjourn the meeting.
