A motion was made by Council Member Grabau, seconded by Council Member Ness, to approve the agenda removing item 5 "Resolution 2020-130 Approving Labor Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of Northfield and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 70 (Utility Unit) Labor Agreement and Memorandums of Understanding". The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 5- C. DeLong, C. Grabau, C. Ness, C. Zweifel, and Mayor Pownell 1. 20-646 Information on How to Provide Public Input and Watch the Meeting During the Pandemic. CONSENT AGENDA City Administrator Martig introduced the consent agenda. Council Member Nakasian joined the meeting at 6:05 p.m. REGULAR AGENDA 6. Res. 2020-131 Consideration of Resolution Approving City Administrator Nomination of Library Director. Council Member Peterson White joined the meeting at 6:09 p.m. City Administrator Martig introduced the item noting his recommendation of Natalie Draper as Library Director. A motion was made by Council Member Grabau, seconded by Council Member Ness, to approve Resolution No. 2020-131 Approving City Administrator Nomination of Library Director. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- C. DeLong, C. Grabau, C. Nakasian, C. Ness, C. Peterson White, C. Zweifel, and Mayor Pownell REPORTS FROM THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS C. Zweifel - noted she will be busy her last few weeks in office attending many scheduled meetings. Mayor Pownell - thank you to C. Zweifel in advance for speaking at the radio show Wednesday morning and thanked C. DeLong for speaking at the radio show the week before. Stat. § 13D.021, subd. 1(3). Please use one of the alternate methods for input below during the pandemic: • Persons may take one opportunity to address the Council for two (2) minutes (not including interpreter’s time) on any topic, even if on the agenda, with the condition that they may not speak on the same item later in the meeting. Because the meeting is being held online, prior to the start of the Council meeting, you may call in or connect via computer with the GoToMeeting information provided as attached under approval of the agenda, to provide your oral comments, input, or testimony.
