STAFF: Jodi Trendler, Director of Sustainability and Resilience. I. CALL TO ORDER Ms. Trendler called the meeting to order. II. ROLL CALL A formal roll call was not conducted. III. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was no public participation. IV. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES There was no discussion or action regarding prior meeting minutes. V. NEW BUSINESS A. SRP REVISIONS Ms. Trendler provided an update on the Sustainability and Resilience Plan (SRP), including chapter revisions, implementation tracking sheets, and ongoing meetings with City departments. Members were asked to review their assigned chapters and provide feedback. A draft report is anticipated to be submitted to the Mayor by the end of the month. B. CLEAR PATH 2.0 OVERVIEW Ms. Trendler presented an overview of the ClearPath 2.0 dashboard, which will track greenhouse gas emissions and the City's progress toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. TASK FORCE VISION AND NEXT STEPS Ms. Trendler discussed transitioning the Task Force from plan development to implementation and emphasized expanding partnerships with boards, commissions, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and community stakeholders. Members were asked to identify organizations and businesses that align with their teams and could support future implementation efforts. Additional community workshops and surveys will also be conducted to gather public input. Members discussed long-term support from City leadership and efforts to incorporate the Sustainability and Resilience Roadmap into the City's Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD). D. TEAM UPDATES Mr. Tony Bacigalupo announced that monthly community coffee chats will continue at Eco Evolution to promote sustainability initiatives and community engagement. Ms. Trendler reported that grant opportunities are being explored through Energize Connecticut to support outreach efforts related to HeatSmart Norwalk and Solarize Norwalk programs. Mr. Paul Fox also shared his experience participating in a HeatSmart home energy assessment and discussed available rebates and energy efficiency improvements. Ms. Diane Lauricella reported that the Waste Team is exploring opportunities to establish pop-up swap shops and provided an update on the proposed “Skip the Stuff” ordinance. Mr. Tanner Thompson provided an update on the community survey initiative, noting that a Spanish-language version has been completed and approximately 80 responses have been received to date. Ms. Trendler announced that funding has been extended through December 2026 and that future meeting agendas, recordings, materials, and minutes will be available on the City's website. The next meeting is scheduled for July 16, 2026. VI. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned approximately at 8:15 pm.
