Meeting Minutes for Norwich Baseball Stadium Authority Wednesday, May 8, 2019 (6:00 p.m.) Norwich City Hall, Norwich • Call to Order (6:00 p.m.) by Chairperson Michael Jewell, MJ NBSA Members Present: Gary Schnip, GS, Tom Cummings; TC, Gary Carignan; GC, Sean Ryan; SR, Fred Phelps FP, Robert Reed RR, Bob Demars, BD Members Absent: Matthew Fortin; MF Others Absent: CT Tigers Representative – Dave Schermerhorn; DS • Review of April 10, 2019 NBSA meeting minutes: Motion made by RR to accept meeting minutes as presented, seconded by TC, passed unanimously (8-0). • Public Comment: none • Chairman’s Report/Correspondence: DS sent email regarding Sprinkler test and Fire Alarm tests to sign off before the season. • Budget Committee – a. Motion made to accept stadium financials as proposed by GC, seconded by BD, passed unanimously (8-0) • Operations - GS- Prime will do Emergency lighting testing • Organization report –none, DS absent. • Old Business: none • New Business: GS to raise issue of light capabilities at Single A level. a. Discussion to dissolve Authority. NBSA have served city to oversee stadium operations for 25 years. Purpose has expired. Authority ‘s position is NBSA is no longer needed. Stadium operations should be taken over by Public Works. All committee member appointments expire in October 2019. Discussions to continue at next month’s meeting. • Adjournment: Motion made by TC, 2nd BD adjourn the meeting.
