Charter Revision Commission

MINUTES OF THE CHARTER REVISION COMMISSION ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING Wednesday, January 22, 2014, 6:30 pm Norwich City Hall Room 335 Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm, by Betsy M. Barrett, City Clerk. City Clerk led everyone in the pledge of Allegiance. Members present: Kent Baker, Linda Becker, Debra Dickey, Michael Gualtieri, Les King, Leland Loose and Janis Sawicki. Also present: Mayor Deberey Hinchey, City Manager Alan H. Bergren and Corporation Counsel Michael Driscoll. The City Clerk gave the oath of office to the above members. Corporation Counsel reviewed the charge of the Commission members including the timeframe. Motion by Linda Becker, seconded by Debra Dickey, it was unanimously voted to elect Les King as Chairman. Motion by Linda Becker, seconded by Les King, it was unanimously voted to elect Kent Baker as Vice Chairman. Motion by Janis Sawicki, seconded by Debra Dickey, it was unanimously voted to elect Debra Dickey as Secretary. The meeting schedule is as follows: February 13, March 13, April 10, May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11, October 9, November 13, December 11, 2014 at 6:30 pm in room 335 City Hall. The first public hearing will be held: February 13, 2014 at 6:30 pm Room 335 City Hall. Motion by Kent Baker, seconded by Debra Dickey, it was unanimously voted to adjourn at 7:45 pm. City Clerk
