Handout from November 18, 2013 Informational Session d UNITED STIJTES POSTIJL SERVICE Notice of Public Meeti ng and Comment Period for Proposed Relocation of Norwi ch Post Office The United States Postal Service ("Postal Service") is proposing relocating the retail services currently provided at the Norwich Main Post Office located at 340 Main Street, Norwich , Connecticut ("Post Office") to the Norwich Postal Facility located at 292 Salem Turnpike. If the relocation is approved, the Postal Service would explore establishing a Contract Postal Unit, CPU , in the Norwich downtown area. If the relocation is undertaken, the retail services available to customers at the present location would continue at the new location . Mail delivery would continue to residents and businesses, and there would be no interruption of services to the community. The Postal Service will present this proposal at the November 18, 2013 Norwich City Council meeting being held at Norwich City Hall located at 100 Broadway, Norwich, Connecticut. The meeting is being held in Council Chambers and is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm. Written comments are being accepted through December 3, 2013. Please submit comments to: Joseph J. Mulvey U.S .
