JOURNAL OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWICH JULY 24, 2018 The Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Norwich was held July 24, 2018, at 6:00 PM in Council Chambers. Present: Mayor Nystrom, Ald. Nash, Gould, Philbrick, DeLucia and Browning. City Manager Salomone and Corporation Counsel Michael Driscoll were also in attendance. Mayor Nystrom presided. Mayor Nystrom opened the meeting. Please be advised that meetings of the Norwich City Council can be viewed in their entirety on the City of Norwich website “norwichct.org”. A presentation from Robert Mills of Norwich Community Development Corporation regarding a Norwich Economic Revitalization (2018) Bond Ordinance- Regarding the general obligation bonds in the amount of $8,470,000 for the financing of grants to improve and stimulate economic development and employment within (i) the City’s downtown revitalization area, (ii) the City’s Gateway Areas, and (iii) the City’s Village Centers (collectively, the “Norwich Revitalization Areas”) on parcels having existing commercial or mixed-use buildings undergoing rehabilitation that will contribute to the revitalization of the surrounding neighborhood.
