LAST REVISED 9/20/12 1:05 PM MINUTES COMMISSION ON THE CITY PLAN Tuesday, September 18, 2012 – 7:00 P.M. 23 UNION STREET NORWICH CONNECTICUT LOWER LEVEL CONFERENCE ROOM REGULAR MEETING AGENDA ITEMS A, B & C – CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL, DETERMINATION OF QUORUM: Ralph Page called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Commission Members Present: Ralph Page, Arthur Sharron, P. Michael Lahan Frank Manfredi, John Mathieu and Les King. A quorum was present. Absent: None Also Present: Peter Davis, Director and Jacquie Barbarossa, Recording Secretary D. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: Upon motion by John Mathieu and second by Les King, the Commission voted unanimously to APPROVE the minutes of the August 21, 2012 regular Meeting. E. COMMUNICATIONS: NONE F. PUBLIC HEARINGS: NONE G: OLD BUSINESS: NONE H: NEW BUSINESS: Peter Davis asked for a suspension of rules to add a bond release request for SDP 1010 – 285 Taftville Occum Rd. to agenda. Art Sharron made a motion to suspend rules to add item to agenda, second by Les King – UNANIMOUS – RULES SUSPENDED – BOND RELEASE ADDED TO AGENDA. I: EXTENSIONS: 1. SDP 838A – 214 Vergason Ave. Ext. AKA Forestview Dr. - Forest Land Investments LLC – for the 2nd extension of time to post bond and file mylars. Upon motion by Frank Manfredi and second by John Mathieu, the Commission voted unanimously to GRANT the request for the 2nd extension of time to post bond and file mylars. 1 LAST REVISED 9/20/12 1:05 PM J: BOND RELEASES: 1. SDP 1011 –- Muller Real Estate, LLC - 217 Otrobando Ave. – Request of Mueller Real Estate for partial release of bond in the amount of $28,450. Mr. Davis stated he had spoken to the City Engineer and he had agreed with the amount. Art Sharron made a motion for partial release of bond in the amount of $28,450 seconded by Frank Manfredi –unanimous - PARTIAL RELEASE OF BOND. 2. SDP #1010 – 285 Taftville Occum Rd. – Request of Hills at Riverview, LLC for partial release of bond in the amount of $87,672.50. Mr. Davis stated that the City Engineer had reviewed the new bond estimate and agreed with the amount of work that had been completed. Art Sharron made a motion to retain a bond of $130,200.50 seconded by John Mathieu- unanimous- PARTIAL RELEASE OF BOND in the amount of $87,672.50 K: ZONING MATTERS: NONE L. OTHER BUSINESS: NONE 1. C.G.S. 8-24 Council Referral: Acceptance of road frontage along Corning Road associated with subdivision of land of Maximilian Kolbe, LLC Peter Davis stated he had not received any comments from the City Engineer regarding the road frontage nor had the City Council requested a referral due to their meeting change because of the holiday, Motion by Art Sharon to TABLE the referral to the next CCP meeting, seconded by John Mathieu – unanimous - TABLED. M. ADJOURNMENT: Upon motion by Frank Manfredi, and second by John Mathieu, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 7:12 pm.
