Treasurer’s Report
Revenue for April 2009 $ 94,881.82
Revenues YTD5 $396,734.79
Revenues are down about $54,000 over same period last year.
Motion by Mr. Mereen, seconded by Mr. DiBattista to approve Treasurer’s report as
presented, this motion passed unanimously.
Presentation by John Paty:
1) Most golf course maintenance equipment is 13 years old, getting dated.
Equipment requires major repairs, leaving too little time for preventative
maintenance.
a) fairway mowers: one is 3 years old and two are 13+ years old
b) trucks are 12 years old, just spent $1,200 on a carburetor
c) triplex mowers are starting to show age
d) work carts, several have poor suspensions
e) sand pro, pump showing age and lacks power
f) tractor, over 20 years old
2) The equipment can be kept going but the cost of repairs and the down time
makes this inadvisable.
3) Propose purchasing:
a) 2 Workman (heavy trucks)
b) Sand pro
c) Reelmaster (4 wheel drive unit to cut hills)
d) Greenmaster 3050 (performs top cuts)
e) Topdresser
This list replaces only key equipment that is used every day. A list of requirements,
needs, and wants will be put together for the Finance Committee to review before the
next NGCA meeting.
