Greeneville NRZ Minutes May 1l,20Il 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Peter Procko, Sonya Skindzier, Stan Kaplan, Sofee Noblick, Don woj ciechowski, olive Buddington, Kathy Strenkowski, Louise Anderson, John Mercier Minutes: April 2011 minutes accepted and approved. Agenda: Greeneville Community Event: The tag sale will be July 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Greenevilie Piayground. Rain or Shine. This is the same day as the Greeneville Road Race which is sponsored by the Greeneville Congregational Church. Vendor tables will be $10.00. Approx. size 10 x 10 ft. Proceeds will benefit the Greeneville NRZ. POKO Development: Peter attended the meeting on April 27,2071. A meeting has been set in Hartford with DEP pertaining to the Capehart Property. To be attended by Norwich City officials and POKO officials. POKO interested in possibly purchasing some adjacent property to Capehart. City Manager's Meeting: Talked about blight enforcement and also litter issue. Bus Shelter: Locations recommended would be in front of the Haitian Church, across from Leader Stores and in the vicinity of St. Mary's Church. All on Central Avenue' Sidewalks: Money may be available to continue our improvments in that area. River Access: Sofee spoke with members of Norwich Dept. of Public Utilities regarding the river access near the 8'h St. bridge (Roosevelt Ave. side). They now have a good idea of what the NRZ would like to see happen there. Police Presence: Members of the NRZ attended a city meeting to speak in favor of the dedication of a Greeneville police protection team.
