Greeneville NRZ Minutes November 9,2011 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Peter Procko, Nancy Procko, Olive Buddington, Sofee Noblick, John Mercier, Don Woiciechowski, Michael Howard, Sonya Skindzier, Kathy Strenkowski Guest: Gary Evans from CDBG Minutes: October 12,2011 minutes accepted and approved Agenda: Discussion regarding NRZ to apply for a grant to improve Central Avenue. The improvements would begin at the Greeneville Playground and expand outward to 2nd and l2th streets. Some of the improvements would be a pavilion at the playground, crosswalks, period lighting, trees to provide shade at the playground. There would also be input from the Norwich Municipal department heads. This project could become a model for other cities to learn from; bringing the community together and improving the quality of life for the residents . NRZ Mission Statement: Nancy is working on updating this. Other Business: Letter regarding bulky waste removal is now printed in five languages. This will be useful in informing residents of the service that is provided to them. This may help in dealing with the dumping of unwanted furniture, etc. in the area. First Responders Home Ownership program. This is a program that could benefit the neighborhood. Police, Medical personnel, living in the areathat they service.
