Greeneville NRZ Minutes February 3,20t6 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Sofee Noblick, Jean Tardifl John Mercier, Kathy Strenkowski, Zechariah Stover, Hannah Stover, Stan Kaplan, Rev. Christopher and Mrsi Rogalski, Councilmen H. Tucker Braddock and Gerald Martin, Shiela Hayes, Police Officers Ken Wright and Denis Bialowas and other residents of the community. Minutes: January 6,201,6 minutes accepted and approved. New Business: Adam Bowles has informed the NRZ that he is unable to continue in his role as Vice President. A motion was made to have Zechariah Stoverfillthe position of Vice President. This wasvoted on and accepted. Fire Hydrants: We will be holding the Fire Hydrant Painting Contest again this year in September. A subcommittee was formed to organize this project' Bus Stop Shelters: The NRZ has agreed to pursue the installation of bus shelters. A letter will be written to ask for funding from the Community Development Block Grant' Fire Chief Kenneth Scandariato inquired how the fire department can help the NRZ. Some suggestions were made in relation to Spirit of Greeneville Day. Perhaps running the grill, so that we can have hot dogs at our event. Chief Scandariato also wanted to know if we were interested in having a polling place in Greeneville. This has always been an interest of the group. We are receptive to this topic. Mural: We are looking for a theme for a mural. We would like to have one painted at the 8th Street entrance to Greeneville. Also, the wall near the tennis court at the Greeneville playground may also be a good location. Please bring ideas to the March meeting. Neighborhood Clean Up: Looking to have this happen in April. Date to be determined. June acoustic Nights: There was a discussion to have this event at least two times in June at the Greeneville Playground. Sponsorship of the event would be needed. More discussion to come regarding this event. Old Business: The date has been determined for the Spirit of Greeneville Day. lt will be Sept' 17, 2016. More to come on this event.
