Greeneville NRZ December 11 2023 Special Meeting Greeneville Fire House, 444 North Main St., Norwich, Ct. Call to order: 6:10 p.m. Attendees: Committee Members-Peter Procko, Nancy Procko, Kathleen Strenkowski , Henry Fidrych Members of the Community- Thomas Yorz, Judith Post, Rev. Christopher Rogalski, Gloria Riley-Gagnon, Rene Gagnon, Tamir Capehart Guests: Shiela Hayes, Evan Blum, Samson Tonton Shiela informed the group that funds have been received for another mural. Lead artist has been determined. Meetings to begin in January 2024 to discuss the theme of the mural. Evan gave an update on the historic 1953 diner that he wants to bring to Greeneville. He also provided an overview of his business Irreplaceable Artifacts. Approval of Minutes: Motion made by Henry Fidrych and second by Judith Post to accept the November 6, 2023 minutes. Motion voted on and passed. Old Business: 4th St. blight. Peter waiting for response from the City of Norwich Blight Officer. New Business: Bus Shelters: Nancy talked to SEAT and was informed the City of Norwich was responsible for bus shelters. Discussion about where the location of shelters should be. SEAT website shows current bus stop locations. Giving Tree: Giving tree has been set up at the Greeneville playground. Donation items needed. Plant containers: Discussion as to where to store planter boxes during the winter. Suggestion made to ask business owners to store them. Open Discussion: Discussion of goals for 2024: spring cleanup, repaint fire hydrants, appreciation dinner.
