Greeneville Neighborhood Revitalization Committee

Greeneville NRZ January 8, 2024 Greeneville Fire House, 444 North Main St., Norwich, Ct. Call to order: 6:01 p.m. Attendees: Committee Members-Peter Procko, Nancy Procko, Kathleen Strenkowski, Henry Fidrych. Members of the community- Thomas Yorz and Judith Post. Approval of Minutes: Motion made by Henry Fidrych and second by Thomas Yorz to accept the December 11, 2023 minutes. Motion voted on and passed. Old Business: Flower Boxes-We will be doing approximately fourteen additional planters for 2024. Event Planning for 2024-Earth Day Cleanup, Painting fire hydrants, touch ups. Bus Shelters-Peter Procko sent a letter to Norwich Public Works regarding the NRZ recommendations for bus shelter placement. New Business: Capehart Update: Peter Procko has sent a letter to State NRZ Representative Bruce Wittchen regarding the condition of the Capehart property. Meeting Attendance: Motion made by Henry Fidrych and second by Nancy Procko to have Peter contact committee members who missed three consecutive meetings. Per the City of Norwich Attendance reguirements, missing three consecutive meetings will result in automatic removal from the committee. The committee members can remain as stakeholders and stay active with the NRZ. Motion voted on and passed. Board Application Form: The application to become a committee member of the NRZ can be found under Form Center at Norwich.Org. Open Forum: Further discussion of event planning.
