Greeneville Neighborhood Revitalization Committee

Greeneville NRZ- Greeneville Fire House, 444 North Main St., Norwich, Ct. Special Meeting, May 1, 2024 Call to Order: 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Committee Members-Peter Procko, Nancy Procko, Kathleen Strenkowski. Members of the community: Thomas Yorz, John Williams, Stephanie Gwozdz, James Gay, Bill Buchert, Judy Post, Ella Rogalski, Gloria Riley-Gagnon. Approval of Minutes: Motion made by Nancy Procko and second by John Williams to accept the April 1, 2024 minutes. Motion voted on and passed. Correspondence: Letter from Norwich Public Works giving permission for the Farmer's Market to be held at the Greeneville Playground. Old Business: Farmer's Market-Distribution to be held at the Greeneville Playground. NRZ State Meeting- Greeneville NRZ hosted the State NRZ Advisory Board Meeting held in April. Lunch was provided by the Greeneville NRZ. Reimbursement expenses to be discussed at June meeting. Fiddleheads- Possibility of a store coming to Greeneville. Neighborhood Clean Up-Another successful event. Good turnout. Appreciation Dinner- Date change from June 8th to tentatively September 21, 2024. Motion made by John Williams to change the date. Voted on and passed. This would allow more time to organize this event. New Business: Lead abatement- Representative from city of Norwich to be at the June meeting in regard to lead abatement program. Motion made by Nancy Procko to have this program. Voted on and passed. Committees- Please try to have three people on a committee when working on projects.
