Greeneville NRZ April 1, 2024 Greeneville Fire House, 444 North Main St., Norwich, Ct. Call to order: 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Committee Members-Peter Procko, Nancy Procko, Kathleen Strenkowski, Henry Fidrych. Members of the community-Thomas Yorz, John Williams, Stephanie Gwozdz, Judy Post, Rev. Christopher Rogalski, Tamir Capehart, Doug Thomson. Approval of Minutes: Motion made by John Williams and second by Thomas Yorz to accept the March 4, 2024 minutes. Motion voted on and passed. Old Business: Earth Day-Scheduled for Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Rain or Shine. Please meet at the Greeneville Playground. Farmers Market-Distribution of fruits and vegtables to Greeneville residents. Particulars still being decided. More to come on this. Fire Hydrants-Norwich Public Utilities approved the painting of hydrants. Awaiting the guidelines from NPU. Mural- Proposed design of the mural has ben approved by Norwich Public Utilities. Planters-NRZ has received approval to purchase 14 additional planters. New Business: Summer Agenda-Unanimous vote to change meeting day from Monday to Wednesday. This would allow Peter to attend the Norwich City Council meetings on Monday. The NRZ will meet during July and August this year rather than have those two summer months off. This is due to the many activities the NRZ is involved in. Medical Clinic-Peter was approached by the owners of the Greeneville Drug Store. They would like to add a medical clinic section to the drug store. Peter brought this to the attention of NCDC. Open Forum: Tamir and Judy provided information regarding the many Greeneville Neighborhood Committee activities available for children and their parents.
