Greeneville NRZ November 6, 2024 Greeneville Fire House-444 North Main St., Norwich, Ct. Call to Order: 6:05 p.m. Determine Quorum: There is a quorum. Attendees: Committee members-Peter Procko, Nancy Procko, Kathleen Strenkowski, Thomas Yorz, Henry Fidrych. Members of the community-Judy Post, Stephanie Gwozdz, John Williams. Approval of Minutes: Motion made by Henry Fidrych and second by Thomas Yorz to accept the October 2, 2024 minutes. Motion voted on and passed. Old Business: Election of Officers for 2024-2025: Motion voted on and passed. Peter Procko-Chairman Nancy Procko-Vice Chairman Kathleen Strenkowski-Secretary Strategic Plan: Amend into Action Plan Gateway specifics and planters. Voted on and passed. Event Dates for 2024-2025: Giving Tree-Start date will be November 30, 2024. Start time is 1:00 p.m. for one hour. Saturday and Sunday disbursement of hats, gloves, socks. Earth Day-Clean up April 26, 2025. Greeneville in May/Sparkle Greeneville-May 18, 2025. Flower planters to be set up on that day also. Applications to be ready for Fire Hydrant Painting. Trolley-The NRZ has acquired the trolley from the Norwich Rotary. It will be a permanent fixture in Greeneville. Location to be determined. New Business: State NRZ meeting-The October meeting was attended by Peter aned Nancy in Bridgeport, Ct. They were introduced to the various activities of the Bridgeport NRZ. Blight Report-Sidewalk discussion. Public Works Report-Traffic flow/Gateway ideas.
