Greeneville NRZ October 2, 2024 Greeneville Fire House, 444 North Main St., Norwich, Ct. Call to Order: 6:00 p.m. Determine Quorum: There is a quorum. Attendees: Committee Members-Peter Prokop, Nancy Prokop, Kathleen Strenkowski, Thomas Yorz, Henry Fidrych. Members of the community-John Williams, James Gay, Judy Post, Ella Chmielewski, Gloria Riley, Stephanie Gwozdz, Zechariah Stover. Guests: Joseph DeLucia, Norwich City Council member. Craig Kleman, Norwich Municipal Representative for the Greeneville NRZ. Approval of Minutes: Motion made by Thomas Yorz and second by Henry Fidrych to accept the September 4, 2024 minutes. Motion voted on and passed. Old Business: Strategic Plan-Objectives 3 and 4 reviewed. 2025 Event Schedule: Holiday Giving tree at the Greeneville Playground-Mittens, hats, scarfs, gloves to be distributed. Approximate date, November 9th to December 21st. Fire Hydrant Painting-Event to held during May and June. Theme should be centered around Greeneville or Patriotic subjects. Street Light Decorating/Flags for July 4th-Consensus by attendees to coordinate these events for 2025. New Business: Nominees for 2024-2025 officers. Voting for officers will be held at the November meeting. Peter Procko-Chairman Nancy Procko-Vice Chairman Kathleen Strenkowski, Secretary NRZ/GNC Memorandum of Understanding: Motion made by Zechariah to give Peter the final decision to sign off on the memorandum after consultation with Kevin Brown of NCDC to obtain additional details and benefits to the NRZ. Second by John Williams. Motion voted on and passed. Open Forum: GNC Block Party was successful. Discussion about sidewalk repairs.
