Health Equity Committee

Health Equity Organizational Meeting November 7, 2022 2:30 pm Room 217- City Manager’s Office Present: John Salomone-City Manager, Patrick McCormack-Uncas Health, Patrick Daley-Police Chief, Kate Milde-Director of Human Services, Jennifer Granger-United Community Services, Robert Farwell-Otis Library, Dr. Mohammed Qureshi-Hartford Healthcare, Joseph Zuzel-Director of Community Health for Hartford Healthcare, and Sarah Duso, Norwich Public Schools Director of Equity. A quorum was determined. Others in attendance –Jacquie Barbarossa-Executive Assistant to the City Manager John Salomone welcomed the group and introductions were made. There was a review of the charge of the committee. A copy of the original resolution was handed out along with information from Demographic Perspectives, the company that was hired to assist with the committee. There was discussion regarding a chair & recording secretary for the committee but there were no nominations or volunteers. It was decided to meet on December 5th at 2:30 pm to determine chair and meeting date schedule. No votes were taken. Motion to adjourn by Dr. Mohammed Qureshi, second by Joseph Zuzel-all in favor.
