NORWICH HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION Minutes of the January 20, 2021 Regular Meeting The regular meeting of the Historic District Commission was held Wednesday January 20, 2021 at 5:33 PM via Zoom virtual meeting. Members Present: Regan Miner (Acting Chairwoman) Nancy O’Neil Richard Guidebeck Gregory Farlow Members Absent: Gregory Johnson and Timothy Dowhan Guests: Brian Lamothe I. Public Meeting The public meeting was convened at 5:35 pm. The order of COA presentations and discussions are at the discretion of the commission to accommodate all participants. ● COA 445 – 17 Harland Road (Brian Lamothe) – New Construction, Other Brian Lamothe, homeowner, stated he is looking to have a ductless heating and cooling system installed by Duncklee Heating & Cooling at his home. Mr. Lamothe stated the only portion of the system that would be visible is the outdoor cooling unit, which would sit at ground level on the driveway side of the home, and two white lines that would run up to the first floor but would abut the existing white corners of the home. Mr. Lamothe stated the system would be a seamless addition and great benefit to the home. Regan Miner asked for information on the neighboring private road to the home. Brain Lamothe stated that Harland Avenue was not a main thoroughfare and served mainly as a large driveway. II. Regular Meeting The regular meeting was convened at 5:44 PM. A. Action on COA’s ● COA 445 – 17 Harland Road (Brian Lamothe) – New Construction, Other Richard Guidebeck made a motion to accept COA 445 as written and presented. Nancy O’Neil seconded. Nancy O’Neil, Richard Guidebeck, Gregory Farlow and Regan Miner voted in favor. The motion passed unanimously. B. Minutes of Wednesday December 16, 2020 Regular Meeting ● Nancy O’Neil made a motion to approve the meeting minutes. Richard Guidebeck seconded. Nancy O’Neil, Richard Guidebeck, Gregory Farlow and Regan Miner voted in favor. The motion passed unanimously. C. Chairman Report ● Regan Miner reported a potential member was interested who is a local real estate agent. D. Old Business: None. E. New Business: None. F. Next Meeting Date: ● Scheduled for Wednesday February 17, 2021 at 5:30 PM. G. Adjournment ● Gregory Farlow made a motion to adjourn the Regular Meeting at 5:51 PM. Nancy O’Neil seconded.
