NORWICH ICE RINK AUTHORITY MINUTES FROM MEETING HELD August 15, 2013 Authority Attendance: Pete Desaulniers, Mike Goldblatt, Stephanie Davis, and JoAnn Beguhl Absent: Cheryl Ritacco Guest: Shannon FitzGerald, Jeff Brining Meeting was called to order by Pete Desaulniers at 7:03 pm, a quorum was present. Review of Minutes: Minutes from April 18, 2013, May 16, 2013, June 4, 2013, June 11, 2013, June 24, 2013, and July 10, 2013 were approved as submitted. There were no public comments Correspondence Resignation letter from Ashley Foy, Figure Skating Director, JoAnn Beguhl made a motion to accept correspondence from Ashley Foy; Mike Goldblatt seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. New Business Budget: Draft was submitted for review Ice Rates: Have been reviewed, propose no changes be made. Mike Goldblatt made a motion to keep the ice rates the same, Stephanie Davis seconds the motion, which passed unanimously Rental Agreements: Will Einstein to rent two hours a week for 3 weeks. JoAnn Beguhl made a motion to accept the rental agreements for Will Einstein; Mike Goldblatt seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Work-out room contract: Tenant decided not to renew work-out room contract Dasher Board pricing: Tabled for New Rink Director Old Business Chiller Update: Trane will be delivering the temporary chiller with permanent temporary electric and piping that will be left at the rink for future use if needed. The Facility’s subcommittee with Jeff Brining will work on new heat exchanger. Child Protection Policy: Tabled for New Director to review Authority Applications: Monday August 19, 2013 the City Council will appoint two new members to the Rink Authority Executive Session It was agreed that there was no business that warranted executive session.
