Regular Meeting Minutes July 1, 2021 CITY OF NORWICH INLAND WETLANDS, WATERCOURSES AND CONSERVATION COMMISSION VIRTUAL/REMOTE MEETING A. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Richard Morell called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. B. ROLL CALL and SEATING of ALTERNATES: Present: Chairman Richard Morell, Vice Chairman Douglas Lee, Peter Chalecki and Brandon Hyde. Absent: Michael Lahan, Robert McCoy and Swarnjit Singh Bhatia. Also Present: Dan Daniska, Assistant City Planner and Katherine Rose, Recording Secretary. C. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: Peter Chalecki put forth a motion to APPROVE the May 6, 2021 regular meeting minutes as presented. Douglas Lee seconded. Peter Chalecki, Douglas Lee and Richard Morrell voted in favor. Brandon Hyde abstained. The motion passed. D. COMMUNICATIONS: Dan Daniska stated he received two notifications to treat the pond at 289 New London Turnpike on or around June 4th and July 5th. E. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. F. OLD BUSINESS: None. G. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Receipt of Applications: Dan Daniska stated he received one application IWWCC #21- 06 267 Salem Turnpike for the construction of a new single family home on the lot. Douglas Lee made a motion to table the application to the next regularly scheduled meeting. Brandon Hyde seconded. All voted in favor. The motion passed unanimously. H. OTHER BUSINESS: 1. Staff Report on Administrative Permits 01/2021-06/2021: Dan Daniska stated the city had received five administrative permits so far that year and that a sixth had come in the previous day. Dan Daniska listed the reports: ● IWWCC #21-01A 325 New London Turnpike for a deck replacement ● IWWCC #21-02A 373 Hamilton Avenue for a septic system repair ● IWWCC #21-03A 228 Scotland Road for the installation of an in-ground pool ● IWWCC #21-04A 6537 Apache Drive within the Pleasure Valley Mobile Home Park for the replacement of a pumping station  ● IWWCC #21-05A 40 Wisconsin Avenue for a large parking expansion, most of which was located in the town of Franklin ● IWWCC #21-07A 8 Tilleys Way for an in-ground pool installation I. VIOLATIONS: None. J. ADJOURNMENT: Peter Chalecki made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:04 PM. Brandon Hyde seconded. All voted in favor. The motion passed unanimously.
