A. Review of procedure for unclaimed pension refunds. Corporation Counsel Mike
Driscoll to advise on disposition of funds. Tabled to the March 2018 meeting.
B. Review updated draft version of the investment policy and asset allocation with UBS.
Tabled to the March 2018 meeting.
C. Request for prior service buyback from Bonnie Cuprak. A legal opinion was requested
from Corporation Counsel. Tabled to the March meeting.
D. Request for a bankruptcy notification/dispute procedure from Corporation Counsel for
review at the March 2018 meeting.
V. New Business
A. Presentation and review of the Actuarial Valuation Reports for the Retirement and
OPEB Plans dated July 1, 2017.
B. Applications for retirement:
1. Robert Murphy III, 911 Emergency Services Dispatcher, for a normal retirement
effective June 2, 2018.
C. Pension Calculations:
1. Kathleen Tennant, retired January 20, 2018. Her pension is calculated for $15,067.79
annually. Her application for retirement was approved at the January 2018 meeting.
2. Martin Gillette, retired February 17, 2018. His pension is calculated for $61,358.56
annually. His application for retirement was approved at the January 2018 meeting.
3. Janice Thompson, retired March 3, 2018. Her pension is calculated for $43,818.48
annually. Her application for retirement was approved at the January meeting.
4. Victoria Daniels, retired March 5, 2018. Her pension is calculated for $44,698.86
annually. Her application for retirement was approved at the February 2018
meeting.
D. Application for refund/rollover of pension contributions:
1. James Murphy, Paraeducator-BOE, who terminated November 6, 2017. Refund of
$5,254.56 with interest (thru 11/30/2017).
2. Diane Giannelli, Paraeducator-BOE, who withdrew on February 20, 2018. Refund of
$1651.78 with interest (thru 02/28/2018).
3. Nancy Smith, Paraeducator-BOE, who withdrew on March 7, 2018. Refund of
$10,515.83 with interest (thru 02/28/2018).

E. Notification of death:
1. Douglas Smith, DOD February 15, 2018, who retired from the Fire Department on
April 28, 2013. Survivor benefit immediately payable to his spouse, Janet Smith, in
the amount of $56,803.57 annually.
2. Dennis Levander, DOD February 20, 2018, who retired from NPU on October 3,
2009. No further benefit due.
