1 CITY OF NORWICH NORWICH PUBLIC PARKING COMMISSION The following are the minutes of the regular meeting of the Public Parking Commission held at 5: 00 p.m., November 19, 2013 at the Buckingham Memorial Building. PRESENT: Mr. Alan Bergren, Ms. Olive Buddington, Mr. Pete Desaulniers, Mr. Jeff Lord and Mr. Sean Ryan. ABSENT: Mr. Tucker Braddock and Mr. Charles Jaskiewicz. Co-Chairperson Buddington called the meeting to order at 5:00pm, noting a quorum was present. PUBLIC COMMENT: Mr. Curtis Leach was slated to appear before the Commission. He was scheduled to address the Commission regarding the denial of his protest related to summons #3010004310. Mr. Leach did not appear. It was suggested by the Commission, to extend an invitation to Mr. Leach to appear at the Janusry 2014 meeting. At this time, there was no one present other than Commission members. The Public Comment period of the meeting was closed. MINUTES: On a motion made by Mr. Desaulniers, second by Mr. Jeff Lord, the Commission voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the September 17,2013 meeting as written. MINUTES NPPC MEETING 11/19/2013  1 FINANCIAL REPORTS & BILLS TO BE PAID: A motion was made by Mr. Bergren, second by Mr. Desaulniers to accept the financial reports and accounts payable reports for September and October 2013. The motion was voted on and passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: HOLIDAY HOURS: Ms. Rizzuto submitted a schedule for holiday office hours. The Thanksgiving holiday will result in the office being closed on Thursday, November 28, 2013 and Friday, November 29, 2013. The Christmas holiday will include office closure on Tuesday, December 24,2013 and Wednesday, December 25, 2013. We will reopen on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 8:30am. The office will close at 4:30pm on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 and reopen at 8:30am on Thursday, January 2, 2014. 2014 MEETING SCHEDULE: The members were provided a list of meeting dates for 2014. A special note was made for the variance of the January meeting. The meeting will be held January 14, 2014 due to a scheduling conflict with the City council meeting to be held on January 21, 2014. The Commission members agreed to the Holiday and 2014 Meeting schedules. MINUTES NPPC MEETING 11/19/2013  1 ANYTHING ELSE BEFORE THE COMMISSION: Mr. Pete Desaulniers made a request that the Commission formally thank Mr. Barry Ellison, Director, NDPW for his quick response to an issue reported in October. Mr. Ellison was notified that the Cliff Street Lot needed to be restriped and marked, and within 3 days the job was complete. Great job! Ms. Rizzuto was directed to write a letter expressing our gratitude. ADJOURNMENT: Motion made to adjourn by Mr. Desaulniers, second by Mr. Lord. Voted on and passed unanimously.
