1 CITY OF NORWICH NORWICH PUBLIC PARKING COMMISSION The following are the minutes of the regular meeting of the Public Parking Commission held at 5: 00 p.m., July 21, 2015 at the Buckingham Memorial Building. PRESENT: Mr. John Bilda, Ms. Olive Buddington, Mr. Pete Desaulniers, Mr. Jeff Lord, Mr. William Nash (arrived late),Mr. Sean Ryan ABSENT: Mr. Terrell Wilson ALSO ATTENDING: Mr. Bruce Costick Ms. Buddington called the meeting to order at 5:03 pm, noting a quorum was present. PUBLIC COMMENT: Mr. Costick came before the Commission to protest a summons received on June 4, 2015. On a motion made by Mr. Bilda, second by Mr. Ryan, the Commission voted unanimously to waive the summons and refund his payment. MINUTES: On a motion made by Mr. Desaulniers, second by Mr. Ryan, the Commission voted to accept the minutes of the special meeting of April 21, 2015 as submitted. The vote was 4 –Aye, 1- Abstention (Mr. Bilda) MINUTES NPPC MEETING 07/21/2015  1 FINANCIAL REPORTS & BILLS TO BE PAID: A motion was made by Mr. Ryan, second by Mr. Lord to accept the financial reports and accounts payable reports for: April – June 2015 The motion was voted on and passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: Copy of Letter to Mayor Hinchey, re: These Guys Brewing Pub This was an “informational” item. No action necessary. ANYTHING ELSE BROUGHT BEFORE THE COMMISSION: Ms. Rizzuto informed the Commission members that the week of August 3, 2015 through August 7, 2015 the Viaduct Lot will be unavailable for parking. The Public Works Department will be repaving the lot, weather permitting. The lot closure will result in the relocation of DCF staff/agency cars . We will use the same procedure as for the Rotary Carnival. EXECUTIVE SESSION: The members declined to enter an executive session. A motion was made by Mr. Desaulniers, second by Mr. Nash, to do further research into the proposal. The information will be presented to the Commission for action at the September 2015 meeting. The Commission voted on and passed the motion unanimously. ADJOURNMENT: Motion made to adjourn by Mr. Desaulniers, second by Mr. Lord, voted on and passed unanimously.
