In attendance: Jeff Brown, Peter Camp, Grant Neuendorf, Derell Wilson, Erin Haggan 2. Old Business  Resignation of Previous Chair, Election of New Chair-  Resignation Accepted. Jeff Brown voted in as new chair.  Fill Member Vacancy  Derell has potential individuals to join and interviews are being scheduled.  Master Park Plan Status  Reviewed bullet points of RFQ draft. Members asked to ensure that a timeline for projects be provided in the final report, along with area Athletic Directors being added to the proposal as key people to interview. Members asked that the plan be completed by early April so they have time to review prior to budget approval.  Program Updates  Program updates and field usage provided to members. Discussion had regarding partnering with all local schools to be able to provide programming at low/no cost on their grounds.  Discussed reciprocity needs, specifically with NFA approval to use our fields for free, however, we do not have access to fields and buildings on campus for free. Have to pay a significant amount to have programs there.  Norwich Public Schools has recently waived the fee for use of their spaces for youth, family, and recreational programming.  Discussed the importance for continuity and collaboration with all programs and organizations providing programming for community members, and it was decided that a special meeting of all would be organized, scheduled and held. Derell and Erin to take the lead on this. 3. New Business  Introduction of Youth, Family & Recreation Manager, Erin Haggan  This was an opportunity for Board Members to ask questions about the merger, and get clarification on current staff members, vacant positions, and reasoning the merger was implemented.  Review Advisory Board By-Laws provided to Board Members • 2023 Advisory Board meeting schedule provided to Board Members Next Meeting: February15, 2023 6pm Location: Rose City Senior Center, 8 Mahan Drive, Norwich Page 2
