Committee Members Present: Alderman Mark Bettencourt, Alderwoman Stacy
Gould, Alderman Joe DeLucia, William Hull, Heather Romanski, Gerald Martin,
Gregory Ballassi, Peter Gauthier, Greg Carabine and Christine DiStasio.
Committee Members Absent: Kristen Talley.
Ex-Officio Members Present: None.
Citizens Present: Bob Castronova, City of Norwich Purchasing Agent.
Alderman Bettencourt reviewed the rules of a virtual meeting and clearly notified
participants that the meeting would be recorded.
I. Call to Order and Quorum: Alderman Mark Bettencourt called the
meeting to order at 6:34 PM.
II. Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes: Heather Romanski made a
motion to approve the April 20, 2021 and the April 29 2021 meeting minutes.
William Hull seconded. The chairman called the roll of members present and
all were in favor. The motion passed unanimously.
III. Executive Session: Interviews of finalists that are not required to
be disclosed per 1-210 (b) (24): Alderwoman Stacy Gould made a motion
to enter into executive session to interview the finalists that were not required
to be disclosed pursuant to FOI Act 1-210 (b) (24) and that interviewees,
Norwich Public School staff and city staff to remain present by request of the
committee. Peter Gauthier seconded. The chairman called the roll of members
present and all were in favor. The motion passed unanimously.
William Hull made a motion to exit executive session, noting that no votes
were taken. Peter Gauthier seconded. The chairman called the roll of members
present and all were in favor. The motion passed unanimously.
IV. Discussion of finalists if time allows: None.
V. Scheduling special meeting if needed: Discussion ensued and special
meeting was called to be scheduled on Wednesday, May 26th.
VI. Adjournment: Heather Romanski made a motion to adjourn. William Hull
seconded. The chairman called the roll of members present and all were in
favor. The motion passed unanimously.
