1. 132 Main Street. Marlowe Artisnal Ales. Application for signage.
Application presented by: Michael Shea, Owner.
Board discussion:
Applicant proposed two flat signs on the same façade of the building. Village code §360-
4.11E(1) allows one flat wall sign to be erected parallel to the face of the building. Applicant
proposed a 2nd design with one flat sign parallel to the face of the building and one hanging sign
perpendicular to the building. Determined the applicant needs to provide specs on the bracket
for the hanging sign and the finish to be matte.

None
Opened on motion by member O’Neill, 2nd member Lanzetta. Closed on motion by member
O’Neill, 2nd member Buckley. Approved by vote 3-0
Conclusion:
Conditional approval for 2nd proposed design with one flat sign and one perpendicular hanging
sign compliant to the village code. Applicant is to provide the specifications for the bracket on
the hanging sign and finish to be matte. Applicant to send the specification on the bracket to ARB
via building dept for review.

Application presented by: Marte Shinin (sp.), Hispana Signs
Board discussion:
Discussed the signs finish and the hanging sign details. Determined the applicant needs to
provide specs on the bracket for the hanging sign.

Conclusion:
Conditional approval providing specification on the bracket for the hanging sign and finish to be
matte. Applicant to send the specification for the bracket to ARB via building dept for review.

Board discussion:
Discussed the signs application and finish. Sign will be a sticker over the existing lightbox.
Informed the applicant of another application (#5. 4 Waldron Ave. Zeildar Plaza) to remodel the
existing façade of the building.

4. 261 N Midland Ave. Layla and Jamison Vrabel. Application for dormer and windows.
Application presented by: Layla Safiani Vrabel, Architect/Owner of property.
Board discussion:
Discussed dormer location, materials, and windows. The board made a recommendation to
change the awning window to have a simulated checkrail to simulate a double-hung window.
This would match the rest of the house and keep the same style.

Board discussion:
Discussed the materials, finishes and layout of the proposed design. The board discussed the
possibility of closing the sides of the awnings and future sign locations for the front façade.

O’Neill, 2nd member Buckley. Approved by vote 3-0
Conclusion:
Conditional approval providing a comprehensive sign plan for the proposed front façade.
