Page 1 of 2 Planning & Zoning Commission Minutes October 9, 2023 Mr. Rob Batsel, 1531 SE 36th Avenue, Ocala, FL, said the current 30-foot vegetative buffer and the 6-foot high berm would only be applicable, if the code is amended, within 750-feet of a church, daycare facility, school, hospital, and residence. This code amendment also cleans up language stating that if there is public access to a MRF, then public access will be separate from commercial material haulers. Mr. Batsel also mentioned Chapter 163 development agreements only deal with concurrency and mitigation for certain types of impacts and that is why they are amending the language to only reference the development or developer's agreements moving forward. Motion to approve COD23-45306 request to amend the Code of Ordinances Regulations Section 122-1225, related to materials recovery facility criteria. The City Hall Planning and Zoning Commission (P & Z) comprises citizen City Council Chambers members who voluntarily and without compensation devote (2nd Floor) their time and expertise to a variety of zoning and land 110 SE Watula Avenue development issues in the community.
