Chris Roper, 420 S. Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL, said he was looking to develop half of the property in auto sales and the other half of the property in master infrastructure, such as drainage retention for future and current development. Motion to rezone from B-2, Community Business District, to B-4, General Business District, for a property located at the southwest corner of State Road 200 and SW 48th Court. Code Amendment a. City of Ocala / COD22-44820 Attachments: COD22-44820_Memo Affordable 106.102&105 - redline Affordable housing ordinance Mr. Hale provided information regarding the Affordable Housing Code Amendment. Page 2 of 3 Planning & Zoning Commission Minutes December 11, 2023 Motion to approve COD22-44820, a request to amend the Code of Ordinances Section 106-102 (Affordable Housing Definitions) by revising the definition of Affordability Threshold and Section 106-105 (Housing Incentive Fund) by revising the eligibility criteria for multi-family housing, the application process, maximum amount of housing incentive funds per unit, lien timeframes, and availability of loans. RESULT: APPROVED MOVER: Arthur "Rus" Adams SECONDER: William Gilchrist, Jr. AYE: Gilchrist, Vice Chair Adams, Chairperson Lopez, Boone, and Malever EXCUSED: Kesselring, and Rudnianyn 8. Staff Comments Mr. Shrum explained the changes on the agenda, and the opportunity for staff and the Board to relay information. Mr. Shrum said staff is trying to standardize the agendas for all the boards. Mr. Shrum thanked Mr. Adams for the years of service on the board. Mr. Adams said he would like to stay on the board, but he will be moving out of the city. He said he will miss everyone and the best part was looking at the City now and how it was thirteen years ago. The Board thanked Mr. Adams for his service and mentorship. 9. Board Comments None. 10. The City Hall Planning and Zoning Commission (P & Z) comprises citizen City Council Chambers members who voluntarily and without compensation devote (2nd Floor) their time and expertise to a variety of zoning and land 110 SE Watula Avenue development issues in the community. For many types of cases, Ocala, FL 34471 the P& Z acts in an advisory capacity to the Ocala City Council Time with its recommendations subject to final action by Council. 5:30 PM GENERAL RULES OF ORDER Board Members The P & Z is pleased to hear all non-repetitive comments.
