Call to Order Chair Mark Lawlis called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. 2. Roll Call Planning Commissioners present: Mark Lawlis, Thorn Ward, Tom Bies and Dan Bricker Planning Commissioners absent: None City Staff present: Nicole Birch, Records Tech, and Administrative Assistant; Marshall Read, City Planner Councilman Tom Taylor 3. Approval of Meeting Agenda • Commissioner Bricker moved to approve the meeting agenda. • Commissioner Bies seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. 4. Approval of Minutes • Commissioner Bricker moved to approve the meeting minutes from 8/27/2024. • Commissioner Bies seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. 5. Public Comments Question where are we on down town improvements – it was clarified we only worked on political sighns which have been passed on to the city. 6. Old Business: Discussion 1. Medal Siding and Roof Materials Action: No action was taken. 2. Weed Burners Action: Fire Department will be making a presentation to the Council. 7. New Business: Discussion 1. Election of Officers Action: Mark Lawlis was nominated as Chair and unanimously approved. Dan Bricker was nominated as Vic-Chair and unanimously approved. 2. Parking Mandates Action: No action was taken 3. Strategic Planning. Action: Bring list of items that you would like the PC to work on in 2025 8. Reports 1. Page 3 of 4  Marshall would like the Planning Commission review the conditional use application for the Food Bank to move from its current location to the corner of Point Brown and Shoal St. Should a traffic flow study be require due to the extra traffic the Food Bank would create? 2. Members of the Commission Reports • None Chair Lawlis informed the Planning Commission there will be a special meeting 1-27-2025 for a public hearing for the approval of Phase 4 Oyhut Bay. Public Comments Walking and parking in Ocean Shores Secretary for Next Meeting Chair Lawlis appointed Commissioner Lawlis as secretary for the 1/28/2024 Meeting Future Meetings • Next meeting is at 2:00 p.m. on 1/28/2025. • Meeting will be held at the Ocean Shores Public Library meeting room located at 573 Point Brown Ave NW, Ocean Shores, WA. • Prior to attending, please confirm the meeting location on the official agenda. The agenda is easily accessed by clicking on the meeting posted on the city calendar at the bottom of the city website homepage at www.osgov.com. 3.
